Deceased Animal Removal

  • Animal Control will remove deceased animals from public property during normal business hours (8:30am-4:30pm)
  • Deceased wildlife/birds on private property is the responsibility of the homeowner to remove. Residents can put the carcass in a plastic garbage bag, tie closed tightly and dispose of in their outside trash receptacle where it will be picked up by DPW as usual. Special accommodations can be made for elderly or disabled persons.
  • Deceased domestic animals on private property will be removed by Animal Control to scan for a microchip and to try to locate its owner for closure. 
  • Animal Control will remove a deceased owned pet from a residence for a fee, however special accommodations can be made for elderly or disabled persons.
