For most household appliances ("white goods"), residents can simply call the Department of Community Services (DCS) at (973) 509-5711. They will make an appointment with you for curbside collection. On the evening before that date you bring the appliance to the curb, and it will be collected as scheduled. Some appliances, such as those containg refrigerants (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers) will require you to purchase a $10 sticker and make an appointment for collection.
