There's a dead animal in my yard. Who is responsible for removing it?

Deceased wildlife on private property is the responsibility of the homeowner to remove. Residents can use a black garbage bag, tied closed tightly, to dispose of the animal in their outside garbage can.
Deceased wildlife on public property will be removed by Montclair Animal Control.
Deceased domestic animals on either private or public property will be picked up by Animal Control to be scanned for a microchip in hopes of finding the owner so they have closure.
